Brief bio-data is presented below for the Board and Consulting Principals of The CCG. They give it a strong team of highly respected professionals with postgraduate training based both inside and outside the Caribbean. Their skills complement each other ensuring that The CCG can market, obtain and implement contracts successfully.

Chairman

Byron Blake brings thirty-two years of experience of Economics, Caribbean development and diplomacy to The CCG. After obtaining both a B.Sc and M.Sc in Economics he went to work for the CARICOM Secretariat in 1970 rising from Economist to Assistant Secretary General, Regional Trade and Economic Integration. There is perhaps no one in the Caribbean today better placed to understand the nuances of working with Caribbean Governments and the IFIs.

Board Members

Hollis Charles has developed service institutions in the Caribbean. Notably he was Director of CARIRI for 20 years developing it from a staff of 20 to 250 with a budget of $4M(US). He followed that by developing two consulting organisations, the Institute for Managing Development (IMD) and Charles Consulting which have supplied services to UNDP, World Bank, IADB, UNIDO, CARICOM, The Commonwealth Secretariat, UN ECLAC to name a few. He has advised on science, technology and industrially development policy nationally and regionally. In 2002 the World Association of Industrial & Technological Organisations (WAITRO) gave him a special award. He has the knowledge and skill required to successfully guide The CCG Ltd and implement its national, regional and international marketing strategy.

Richard Trotman is a financial consultant who specialises in initiating, structuring and managing investment opportunities and financial transactions, locally, regionally and internationally. He works with companies to improve their operating and business models thus assisting them to meet their performance targets and increase profitability. He has worked for Fincor and Republic Bank handling portfolios in excess of $100M(TT). He will be part of the executive team that will market The CCG Ltd’s services and advice it on financial matters.

Lennox Lewis has 25 years experience as a business and strategic planning/corporate finance consultant. He has worked for private and public sector organisations. He also has experience as a member of committees, member and chairman of Boards for example, The T&T Management Development Centre and Radio Vision. His professional qualifications include being a Fulbright Scholar and an MBA. He will be invaluable in developing The CCG’s financial policies.

Consulting Principals

Jeffrey Dellimore was The CCG’s first Chairman. He worked for the CDB for 22 years following 11 years as a lecturer at the University of the West Indies. He retired as Acting Director of Projects having assumed responsibility at a time of turbulence and succeeded in giving it a strong structure and increasing its effectiveness. He established the Social Development Division and ensured that the social dimensions of development were addressed in all CDB interventions. He twice received the accolade of “Distinguished Performer" at the CDB.

Willy Aspinall is a consulting scientist with a PhD in Physics and 34 years experience of working in the Caribbean. His professional interests include assessment of earthquake and volcanic hazards and risks. He has published more than 40 research papers and contributed to commercial in-confidence reports. He brings invaluable experience to the The CCG team of Consulting Principals.

Winston Scotland is a strong supply chain executive with general management /P&L experience. He is skilled in improving and integrating business processes. He became a consultant after being the Senior VP, Supply Chain, UFNA & Lipton, USA. This is a $4.5B (US) consumer products business unit. He has experience leading teams in Europe, Asia, Africa, USA and Canada. In a career spanning 1966 to 2000 he rose from chemical engineer to Senior Vice-President directing the smooth merger of two large food businesses into Lipton, while divesting others and achieved savings in excess of $200M (US). He, therefore, brings to The CCG Ltd international private sector experience that will help it to become an internationally competitive service provider.
